Fix common video and live-stream issues

Change the quality of a video or stream
Click on a video or stream to begin watching it.
On the bottom bar of the video or stream embed, press the gear icon. It should look similar to ⚙.
Select the bottom option Quality.
From the menu that appears, select the quality option you want. The default is Auto.
Fix video or stream buffering and other errors (stopping and starting frequently)
If a video or stream is experiencing buffering but you don't get a direct error message:
Check your internet connection, including your upload and download speeds. View the recommended sustained speeds below:
2. Refresh the page by pressing CTRL + R at the same time on Windows. On Mac, press Command + R at the same time.

If a video or stream is experiencing buffering and you get an error:
If you are experiencing major video or stream issues, you might get an error message from the list below:
An error has occurred.
Playback error. Tap to retry.
Connection to server lost.
Something went wrong. Tap to Retry.
If you get an error from the list above, be sure to check your internet speeds.
Fix "This video is unavailable" error
Note: This error appears on streams too.
If you experience the error message "This video is unavailable" then there has been a critical issue and we've had to take down the video stream.
When the error happens during a livestream:
Usually another livestream will begin 2-7 minutes after a stream is taken down, but sometimes the livestream is cut completely. If this issue happens, stay calm and refresh the page. If it's not resolved, tune in another day for a livestream.
When the error happens with a video:
Usually a fixed upload will be published 10-40 minutes after the initial take down. If not, keep an eye out for another video in the coming days or weeks.
