Roblox Safety Settings Tiers

This article shows three different tiers of staying safe on Roblox. Most people will only need to use tier 2, but for more extreme measures follow other tiers.

Tier 1: Basic

• Under Account Info, verify and link your email address to your account.

• Under Account Info, set your birthday to 17+.

Tier 2: Standard

• Under Account Info, verify and link your email address to your account.

• Under Account Info, set your birthday to your actual birthday.

• Under Security, enable Email (Secure) to receive unique security codes at your specified email.

• Under Privacy, set "Who can join me in experiences?" to Friends and users I follow.

Tier 3: Advanced

• Under Account Info, verify and link your email address to your account.

• Under Account Info, set your birthday to your actual birthday.

• Under Privacy, set "Do you want to be recommended to Roblox users who have your phone number?" to No.

• Under Privacy, set "Who can join me in experiences?" to Friends and users I follow.

• Under Security, enable Authenticator App (Very Secure).

• Under Parental Controls, enable Parent PIN. Although this may seem like a setting only for children, it adds an extra security measure and makes sure that only you can change your account settings.

• Under Privacy, set "Who can message me?" to Friends and users I follow.

• Under Privacy, set "Who can make me a member of their private server?" to Friends and users I follow.

• Under Privacy, set "Who can see my inventory?" to Friends and users I follow.

• Under Privacy, set "Who can trade with me?" to Friends and users I follow.

• Under Privacy, set "Trade quality filter" to Low.

Tier 4: Extreme

• Under Account Info, verify and link your email address to your account.

• Under Account Info, verify and link your phone number to your account.

• Under Account Info, set your birthday to your actual birthday.

• Under Privacy, set "Do you want to be recommended to Roblox users who have your phone number?" to No.

• Under Privacy, set "Who can join me in experiences?" to Friends.

• Under Security, enable Authenticator App (Very Secure).

Tier 5: Ultra Extreme/I think I'm being targeted/lock down

• Under Account Info, verify and link your email address to your account.

• Under Account Info, verify and link your phone number to your account.

• Under Account Info, set your birthday to your actual birthday.

• Under Account Info, make sure you have no connected Social Networks.

• Under Security, enable Authenticator App (Very Secure).

• Under Privacy, disable Communication.

• Under Privacy, disable microphone to chat with voice.

• Under Privacy, disable use camera to animate your avatar with your movement.

• Under Privacy, set "Do you want to be recommended to Roblox users who have your phone number?" to No.

• Under Privacy, set "Who can make me a member of their private server?" to No one.

• Under Privacy, set "Who can join me in experiences?" to No one.

• Under Privacy, set "Update friends about my activity?" to No.

• Under Privacy, set "Who can see my inventory?" to No one.

• Under Privacy, set "Who can trade with me?" to No one.

• Under Parental Controls, enable Parent PIN.

• Under App Permissions, remove any external apps that have access to your information.

• Proactively monitor where you're logged in under Security.

• Make sure your password is secure.

• Make sure your email is secured.

• Make sure your phone is secured.
