How to appeal a Roblox ban

Roblox's moderation system is known to falsely flag messages and content as inappropriate when it's actually appropriate and safe for the platform. This article will explain how to appeal a Roblox ban with the best chances of successfully getting the ban removed.

Attempt 1: First Email

1. Go to https://www.roblox.com/support and fill out the the following:
   Username (Required To Be Unbanned): [Your Roblox username]
   First Name (Optional): [Your First Name]
   Email Address: [Type in an email address that you have access to. It doesn't need to be linked to your Roblox account, however that's recommended. Creating a Gmail address is free, and can be done here.]
   Confirm Email Address: [Put the same email address you typed in above.]
   What device are you having the problem on? [Select the device you were using when you were banned.]
   Type of help category: [Select "Moderation"].
   Please Select...: [Select one of the first three options depending on which best suits why you were banned.]

2. Under Description of issue, type the following, and edit anything [inside square brackets]:
   Greetings,
   
   My Roblox account @[Your Roblox username] was recently banned for [moderation reason]. I did not know that what I did was against Roblox's Community Standards and would like to appeal for an unban for my account. Thank you.
   
   Kind regards,
   [First Name or Roblox Username]

What happens next:

• It is almost certain that your first email will be denied. This is completely normal and does NOT mean that your account cannot be reinstated by support. Keep trying!

• If you were lucky and you were unbanned, congrats! You can stop reading here. Otherwise, keep reading.

Attempt 2:

1. Under the email which denies your appeal, begin a reply. Type the following, and edit anything [inside square brackets]:
   Greetings [Support Agent's Name],
   
   My Roblox account @[Your Roblox username] was recently moderated for [moderation reason]. I did not know that what I did was wrong, and I promise not to do it again. As previously mentioned, I did not know what I did was against Roblox's Community Standards, and after reviewing them, I now know that I will never do what I did again. I would like to appeal for an unban for my account. Thank you.
   
   Kind regards,
   [First Name or Roblox Username]

What happens next:

• Now that you've sent another response, the moderation action should be reversed as a one-time courtesy from Roblox Support.

• If your Roblox account wasn't reinstated, the chances of your ban being successfully reversed is unlikely, however, always keep trying. If your Roblox account means a lot to you, you have to try everything to try to get it reinstated as quickly as possible.

If your account still isn't reinstated:

• Keep trying Attempt 1 and Attempt 2 over and over again. The chances of success are small, but not zero. Good luck getting your account reinstated.
